Senior Civil Engineer

Kayop Investment Limited is inviting applications from experienced and results-driven professionals for the position of Senior Civil Engineer to lead major civil construction activities for the Motukea Project in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage all civil engineering activities associated with the Motukea Project.
• Provide technical leadership and supervision to engineers, supervisors, and construction personnel.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor project activities to achieve schedule, budget, quality, and performance requirements.
• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, progress reviews, and quality assurance assessments.
• Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Prepare project reports and provide timely updates to management and key stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Applicants should possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer or eligibility for registration.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in civil engineering and construction projects.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a senior supervisory or management role.
• Experience in infrastructure, industrial, commercial, marine, or other large-scale development projects.
• Strong contract administration and project management experience.
• Sound knowledge of engineering standards, construction practices, and project controls.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
